Madalena · Effective July 9, 2026

Madalena is a parent-guided learning app made by Filipe Monteiro. This page explains what the app stores and why. The short version: we store only what the app needs to work, there are no ads and no analytics, we never sell or share your data, and you can delete everything in one tap.

What we store

What we don't do

No advertising. No third-party analytics or tracking. We never sell your data and never share it with anyone, except the infrastructure provider that hosts our database (Supabase), which processes it on our behalf to run the service.

Children

Madalena is designed for parents and guardians: the account holder is the adult, and all information about a child is entered by the parent. We store nothing about a child beyond the profile and activity history described above, we never communicate with children, and nothing about your child is ever made public.

Where your data lives

Account data syncs to our database (hosted by Supabase) over encrypted connections so your history survives reinstalls and moves with you across devices. Each account can only access its own data. A copy of your activity history also lives locally on your device. Daily reminder notifications are scheduled on your device and never leave it.

Feedback

Messages you send through the in-app feedback form are stored with your account so we can read them and improve the app. They are deleted along with everything else when you delete your account.

Deleting your data

In the app, tap your avatar and choose Delete account. This permanently removes your account, child profiles, and activity history from our servers and your device, immediately. You can also email us and we will delete it for you.

Retention

We keep your data only while your account exists. Delete the account and it is gone.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
